the origin of drumsticks is India, due to its medicinal uses it
has reached other countries also. Different varieties and types
of drumsticks are found in specific part of India. But no research
has been done in different agricultural institute and universities.
The universities in south India are ahead in these researches. With
the research and considering the geographical conditions, there
are following varieties of Drumsticks available -

Rohit-1
This variety of Drumsticks most superior for production as well as for
its quality.
This variety was developed by Mr. Balasaheb Marale himself after continuous
efforts for 7 years. The seed for this variety will be available from
2006 onwards. This variety will prove to be the best amongst all the varieties
available in India.

can yield the product twice within 6 months and a year. |

length of stick is 45 to 60 cms with more pulp inside. The average
weight of each stick is 60 to 70 gram |

the product upto 1100 to 1250 also. |

can yield to product for 8 to 10 years. |

plantation, the plant bears flowers and you can yield the product
in 8 to 9 months. You can get the production twice in a year. |

for 4 to 5 years. |

Each
stick is larger in length hence the product has demand in market
of big cities rather than local market cost is comparatively
less. |
